Community Event: Film Screening & Discussion

In recognition of Disability Pride Month, St Paul’s Episcopal Church is hosting a free film screening and discussion featuring the 2020 documentary, Crip Camp: A Disability Revolution.

Crip Camp is about reclaiming and celebrating your identity, telling your story, and discovering the power of community. The film can be used to build an understanding of disability rights and justice, foster safe conversation and healthy discussions, amplify the voices and political leverage of a marginalized community, and build bridges between people who share very similar or different backgrounds.

We can all relate to elements in the film, whether it’s the joy of feeling accepted, coming-of-age stories, the thrill of an approaching summer, or the courage to voice your beliefs.
