Our 4th Annual Cultura celebration held on Saturday, September 26, 2026 was an incredible day celebrating the beauty and uniqueness of many different cultures! Both performers and attendees alike commented on how much fun they had, the opportunities to learn they were offered and the sense of belonging that they felt - truly allowing us to reach the goals of hosting this event!

This event is open to the public, FREE to attend and brings culturally significant experiences to our community in the form of visual art, spoken word, music, dance, and food. Two stages will feature our performance artists, visual art will be displayed on the walls of the Historic Opera House and tantalizing culinary delights will be served by some of our favorite food truck vendors!
All aspects of the event will lead the attendees to learn just a little more than they expect, opening minds and hearts to more understanding and a deeper sense of global community.

Dive Deeper with Cultura Connects!
Brought to you by your Cultura hosts - the Livingston Diversity Council & the Livingston Arts Council, Cultura Connects is a new series celebrating the rich traditions, flavors, and stories behind the cultures featured at Cultura. Each of these intentionally curated, culturally immersive experiences will invite you to engage all of your senses through food, movement and art.
Join us for the final Cultura Connects program in our 2026 series featuring Native American Indigenous Traditions!
For this special event, we have partnered with the North American Indian Association of Detroit (NAIA) to share the culture and traditions of the Anishinaabe and Ojibwe peoples. Through traditional dance, meaningful cultural experiences, and delicious foods, guests will have the opportunity to connect, learn, and celebrate. Attendees will also be invited to participate in dance and create their own artwork inspired by Indigenous traditions to take home as a reminder of this unique cultural experience.
